AFI to Approach CAS Over Shaili Singh's Jump

The Athletics Federation of India (AFI) will approach the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) regarding the measurement of Shaili Singh's long jump attempt at the Asian Games. AFI alleges officials used an incorrect, shorter mark for measurement, potentially costing Shaili a medal. Shaili finished fourth with a best jump of 6.42m, while medalists achieved 6.53m and 6.55m. Her mentor, Anju Bobby George, stated the measurement was taken from a mark pointed out by an official standing far behind, not the nearest official.
