Workers in 22 flood-affected and 16 drought-hit districts of Bihar will now receive regular employment opportunities. The Bihar Rural Development Department has initiated efforts to employ unskilled workers under the Viksit Bharat, Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) scheme. This initiative aims to provide financial support to poor households in areas impacted by natural calamities. The scheme replaces the older MGNREGA model, guaranteeing 125 days of wage employment per rural household. Infrastructure damage in flood-affected regions necessitates urgent repair and restoration work.

बिहार के 22 बाढ़-प्रभावित और 16 सूखा-ग्रस्त जिलों के मजदूरों को अब नियमित रोजगार के अवसर मिलेंगे। बिहार ग्रामीण विकास विभाग ने विकसित भारत, गारंटी फॉर रोज़गार एंड आजीविका मिशन (ग्रामीण) योजना के तहत अकुशल मजदूरों को रोजगार देने के प्रयास शुरू किए हैं। इस पहल का उद्देश्य प्राकृतिक आपदाओं से प्रभावित क्षेत्रों में गरीब परिवारों को वित्तीय सहायता प्रदान करना है। यह योजना पुराने MGNREGA मॉडल की जगह लेगी, जो प्रति ग्रामीण परिवार 125 दिनों के मजदूरी रोजगार की गारंटी देती है। बाढ़-प्रभावित क्षेत्रों में बुनियादी ढांचे को हुए नुकसान के कारण तत्काल मरम्मत और बहाली कार्य की आवश्यकता है।
