JSW Group Chairman Sajjan Jindal met West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari to discuss investment opportunities. The group plans to invest an estimated ₹50,000 crore in the state, with ₹40,000 crore allocated for power projects and ₹10,000 crore for other sectors. Jindal confirmed the meeting was "very good" and that discussions covered various topics. Adhikari announced that Jindal committed to performing the bhoomipujan for the second unit of his power plant in early January. This follows JSW Energy's ₹16,000 crore greenfield power plant project in Paschim Medinipur.

JSW ग्रुप के चेयरमैन सज्जन जिंदल ने पश्चिम बंगाल के मुख्यमंत्री सुवेंदु अधिकारी से निवेश के अवसरों पर चर्चा करने के लिए मुलाकात की। ग्रुप की योजना राज्य में अनुमानित ₹50,000 करोड़ का निवेश करने की है, जिसमें ₹40,000 करोड़ बिजली परियोजनाओं के लिए और ₹10,000 करोड़ अन्य क्षेत्रों के लिए आवंटित किए जाएंगे। जिंदल ने पुष्टि की कि मुलाकात "बहुत अच्छी" रही और चर्चाओं में विभिन्न विषयों को शामिल किया गया। अधिकारी ने घोषणा की कि जिंदल ने जनवरी की शुरुआत में अपने पावर प्लांट की दूसरी यूनिट के लिए भूमिपूजन करने की प्रतिबद्धता जताई है। यह पश्चिम मेदिनीपुर में JSW एनर्जी की ₹16,000 करोड़ की ग्रीनफील्ड पावर प्लांट परियोजना के बाद हुआ है।
