According to Shaheen's friend, the hospital allegedly delayed a crucial surgery for four hours, demanding a deposit of ₹5 lakh, despite insurance procedures being completed. The family managed to pay ₹50,000 in cash. His friend tearfully stated that doctors' negligence caused his death, and the hospital called the police before informing the family.

बेंगलुरु के यसवंतपुर के एक प्राइवेट अस्पताल में 22 साल के शाहीन की मौत हो गई। उसके परिवार और दोस्तों ने डॉक्टरों और स्टाफ पर लापरवाही और इलाज में देरी का आरोप लगाया है। शाहीन के दोस्त के मुताबिक, अस्पताल ने कथित तौर पर ₹5 लाख के डिपॉजिट की मांग करते हुए एक ज़रूरी सर्जरी में चार घंटे की देरी की, जबकि बीमा प्रक्रिया पूरी हो चुकी थी। परिवार ने नकद में ₹50,000 का भुगतान किया। उसके दोस्त ने रोते हुए कहा कि डॉक्टरों की लापरवाही से उसकी मौत हुई, और अस्पताल ने परिवार को सूचित करने से पहले पुलिस को बुलाया।
