Rebel TMC MPs Seek 15 More Days To Reply To Lok Sabha Disqualification Notices

Twenty rebel Trinamool Congress MPs, who have aligned with the NCPI, have requested an additional 15 days to respond to disqualification notices issued by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. The current deadline to reply was set to end on October 8, 2026. MP Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar stated that the MPs needed more time to gather necessary documents for their response. The MPs maintain that their alignment with the NCPI does not violate anti-defection laws. An urgent meeting is scheduled in Kolkata to discuss the notices and future actions.

NCPI के साथ गठबंधन करने वाले बीस विद्रोही तृणमूल कांग्रेस सांसदों ने लोकसभा अध्यक्ष ओम बिरला द्वारा जारी अयोग्यता नोटिस का जवाब देने के लिए अतिरिक्त 15 दिनों का अनुरोध किया है। जवाब देने की वर्तमान समय सीमा 8 अक्टूबर 2026 को समाप्त होने वाली थी। सांसद काकोली घोष दस्तीदार ने कहा कि सांसदों को अपने जवाब के लिए आवश्यक दस्तावेज इकट्ठा करने के लिए और समय चाहिए। सांसदों का कहना है कि NCPI के साथ उनका गठबंधन दलबदल विरोधी कानूनों का उल्लंघन नहीं करता है। नोटिस और भविष्य की कार्रवाइयों पर चर्चा के लिए कोलकाता में एक आपात बैठक निर्धारित है।
