India and Liberia, as co-chairs of the Group of Friends on Safety and Security of Shipping and Seafarers, have strongly condemned recent attacks on commercial ships and seafarers in the Gulf and Black Sea. They described the incidents as unacceptable, disrupting maritime trade and costing innocent lives. The joint statement calls for an immediate cessation of these attacks to ensure regional peace and stability. India and Liberia also extended condolences to families of deceased seafarers and wished speedy recovery to the injured.
