UP Farmers Central to Agricultural Growth, Says CM Yogi Adityanath

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that farmers are central to the state's economic strength, highlighting significant agricultural sector changes since 2017. He cited improvements in irrigation, paddy procurement, and direct payments to farmers as key government efforts. The state's agricultural growth rate has reportedly increased from 8% to 18%, with Uttar Pradesh now contributing 21% of India's total foodgrain production. Over 519 lakh metric tonnes of paddy were procured from more than 80 lakh farmers, with payments exceeding ₹1,03,833 crore made directly.

उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने कहा कि किसान राज्य की आर्थिक मजबूती के केंद्र में हैं, और 2017 के बाद से कृषि क्षेत्र में महत्वपूर्ण बदलाव आए हैं। उन्होंने सिंचाई, धान खरीद और किसानों को सीधे भुगतान में सुधार को सरकार के प्रमुख प्रयासों के रूप में बताया। राज्य की कृषि विकास दर 8% से बढ़कर 18% हो गई है, और उत्तर प्रदेश अब भारत के कुल खाद्यान्न उत्पादन का 21% योगदान दे रहा है। 80 लाख से अधिक किसानों से 519 लाख मीट्रिक टन से अधिक धान की खरीद की गई, जिसका भुगतान ₹1,03,833 करोड़ से अधिक सीधे किया गया।
