Ernakulam Bypolls See 58.14% Voter Turnout

Byelections held on September 28 for four local body wards in Ernakulam district recorded a moderate voter turnout of 58.14%. Out of 10,003 eligible voters, 5,816 cast their ballots. While three grama panchayat wards saw brisk polling, the Ayyappankavu division of Kochi Corporation had a lower turnout of 46.91%. Kolencherry East Ward recorded the highest percentage at 81.61%. The results are scheduled for declaration on September 29.

एर्नाकुलम जिले में चार स्थानीय निकाय वार्डों के लिए 28 सितंबर को हुए उपचुनाव में 58.14% मतदान हुआ। 10,003 योग्य मतदाताओं में से 5,816 ने अपने मत डाले। जबकि तीन ग्राम पंचायत वार्डों में तेजी से मतदान हुआ, कोच्चि निगम के अय्यपंकवु डिवीजन में 46.91% मतदान हुआ। कोलेनचेरी ईस्ट वार्ड में सबसे अधिक 81.61% मतदान दर्ज किया गया। परिणामों की घोषणा 29 सितंबर को होनी है।
