The plea relates to a case registered under the SC/ST Act based on a complaint by Delhi Police ACP Vivek Bhagat. The FIR alleges caste-based humiliation and obstruction of duty during a protest on October 3. The journalist has accused Bhagat of sexual harassment in connection with the same incident. The court stated it would hear the matter on Friday, declining immediate interim protection.

दिल्ली हाईकोर्ट ने एक महिला पत्रकार की गिरफ्तारी से अंतरिम सुरक्षा की मांग वाली अर्जी पर तत्काल सुनवाई से इनकार कर दिया है। यह अर्जी दिल्ली पुलिस ACP विवेक भगत द्वारा दर्ज कराई गई शिकायत के आधार पर SC/ST एक्ट के तहत दर्ज मामले से संबंधित है। FIR में 3 अक्टूबर को एक विरोध प्रदर्शन के दौरान जातिगत अपमान और कर्तव्य में बाधा डालने का आरोप है। पत्रकार ने इसी घटना के संबंध में भगत पर यौन उत्पीड़न का आरोप लगाया है। कोर्ट ने कहा कि वह शुक्रवार को मामले की सुनवाई करेगा, तत्काल अंतरिम सुरक्षा देने से इनकार कर दिया।
