India is set to implement a new clause in its foreign trade policy, empowering it to block imports produced using forced labour. This significant move aligns with the International Labour Organisation's definition of forced labour. The notification, which becomes effective in thirty days, aims to strengthen India's stance in international trade negotiations and combat unethical labour practices in global supply chains.

भारत अपनी विदेश व्यापार नीति में एक नया नियम लागू करने जा रहा है। इसके तहत, जबरन मजदूरी से बने सामानों के आयात पर रोक लगाई जा सकेगी। यह कदम International Labour Organisation के नियमों के अनुसार है। यह सूचना तीस दिनों में लागू होगी और इससे भारत की अंतरराष्ट्रीय व्यापार में स्थिति मजबूत होगी। साथ ही, वैश्विक सप्लाई चेन में गलत मजदूरी प्रथाओं पर भी लगाम लगेगी।
