तेलंगाना ने हैदराबाद के शहरी शासन को आधुनिक बनाने के लिए पुराने GHMC एक्ट को बदलकर Core Urban Region (Integrated Governance) Act, 2026 लागू किया है। यह नया कानून 2,053 वर्ग किमी में संपत्ति पंजीकरण, म्यूटेशन, कराधान और नागरिक अनुमतियों को एक डिजिटल ढांचे के माध्यम से एकीकृत करता है। यह मुख्यमंत्री की अध्यक्षता में एक CURE Apex Governance Council की स्थापना करता है, जो तीन नगर निगमों और प्रमुख शहरी एजेंसियों के बीच समन्वय स्थापित करेगा। इस बदलाव से तेजी से हो रहे विस्तार की चुनौतियों का सामना किया जाएगा, जिसकी आबादी अब 1.3 करोड़ है, और संपत्ति प्रशासन को सुव्यवस्थित किया जाएगा और नगर निगम सेवाओं के लिए एक एकल ऑनलाइन पोर्टल पेश किया जाएगा।
