Ex-IAS Officer Ram Bahadur, Close To Mayawati, To Join Samajwadi Party

Former IAS officer Ram Bahadur, who was once a close aide of BSP chief Mayawati, is set to join the Samajwadi Party. He will formally join the party in Lucknow. Ram Bahadur, who belongs to the Dalit community, has previously served as DM in several districts and held important positions in authorities. He had contested the 2017 assembly elections on a BSP ticket and later joined the BJP in 2022. His entry into the SP is seen as significant for the party's Dalit outreach and electoral strategy.
