Supreme Court Seeks West Bengal Govt's Response on Mahua Moitra's Plea for Protection

The Supreme Court has asked the West Bengal government and other respondents to file their responses on a plea by MP Mahua Moitra. Moitra is seeking adequate protection during her visits to her parliamentary constituency, Krishnanagar. Her plea also details an alleged eviction from a Circuit House in Nadia by district administration officials, despite having a room allotted. The court heard the matter and directed that responses be filed within a week, with a rejoinder to follow. Moitra's counsel, Gopal Sankaranarayanan, was present during the hearing.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने तृणमूल कांग्रेस की सांसद महुआ मोइत्रा की याचिका पर पश्चिम बंगाल सरकार और अन्य प्रतिवादियों से जवाब मांगा है। मोइत्रा ने अपने संसदीय क्षेत्र कृष्णानगर की यात्राओं के दौरान पर्याप्त सुरक्षा की मांग की है। उनकी याचिका में नादिया में जिला प्रशासन के अधिकारियों द्वारा कथित तौर पर सर्किट हाउस से बेदखली का भी विवरण दिया गया है, जबकि उन्हें एक कमरा आवंटित किया गया था। अदालत ने मामले की सुनवाई की और एक सप्ताह के भीतर जवाब दाखिल करने का निर्देश दिया, जिसके बाद प्रत्युत्तर दाखिल किया जाएगा। सुनवाई के दौरान मोइत्रा के वकील गोपाल शंकरनारायणन मौजूद थे।
