Mhada to Redevelop Pratiksha Nagar Itself

The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (Mhada) will redevelop Mumbai's Pratiksha Nagar in Sion on its own, opting for the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) model. This approach allows Mhada to retain control over the 25-hectare layout and the additional housing stock generated. Previously, Mhada used a model where private developers financed and executed projects, keeping most homes. This new strategy aims to create more affordable housing stock for future sales, as Mhada has limited vacant land in Mumbai.

म्हाडा खुद करेगा प्रतीक्षा नगर का रीडेवलपमेंट

महाराष्ट्र हाउसिंग एंड एरिया डेवलपमेंट अथॉरिटी (म्हाडा) मुंबई के सायन में प्रतीक्षा नगर का रीडेवलपमेंट खुद ही करेगी। इसके लिए उन्होंने इंजीनियरिंग, प्रोक्योरमेंट और कंस्ट्रक्शन (EPC) मॉडल चुना है। इस मॉडल से म्हाडा 25 हेक्टेयर के लेआउट और बनने वाले अतिरिक्त घरों पर अपना नियंत्रण रख पाएगी। पहले म्हाडा ऐसा मॉडल इस्तेमाल करती थी जिसमें प्राइवेट डेवलपर्स पैसे लगाकर प्रोजेक्ट बनाते थे और ज़्यादातर घर अपने पास रख लेते थे। इस नई रणनीति से म्हाडा भविष्य में बिक्री के लिए ज़्यादा किफायती घर बना पाएगी, क्योंकि मुंबई में म्हाडा के पास खाली ज़मीन कम है।
