Germany's foreign intelligence chief, Martin Jaeger, has warned that Russia's escalating "shadow war" of espionage and sabotage could draw Germany into a violent conflict. He stated that Germany faces a direct, comprehensive, and concrete threat from Russia, which has become an obstacle to Moscow's European ambitions. While no major Russian military attack on NATO is anticipated, Jaeger cautioned about potential low-level Russian military activities in the Baltic states.
