Companies Misusing Ratlami Sev Trademark to Face Notices and Damages

The Ratlam district administration in Ujjain is preparing to issue notices and seek damages from companies that are misusing the registered trademark and geographical indication tag of Ratlami sev. Collector Ajay Katesaria has directed the industries department to initiate action against unauthorised sellers. He emphasized that Ratlami sev is an identity and heritage of Ratlam, and its name should only be used by registered producers. Efforts are also underway to make the popular snack available at Ratlam railway station.
