SpaceX is set to challenge traditional US wireless carriers with a new spectrum acquisition agreement for its Starlink satellite service. The company announced on October 8 that it has agreed to acquire nationwide low-band spectrum licenses, aiming to make Starlink Mobile a major US mobile carrier. This move will allow Starlink to deliver mobile connectivity across the country, including areas underserved by conventional cellular networks. The transaction still requires final approval from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
