Yemen's Houthis Seek Chinese Parts For Advanced Missile System
Hindustan Times · world
Yemen's Houthi rebels are reportedly seeking Chinese-made components to develop an advanced ballistic missile system, according to a Conflict Armament Research report. Two shipments of suspected missile parts, originating from China and destined for Houthi-controlled Hodeidah, were intercepted by Yemeni authorities. These components could enable the Houthis to build a missile similar to Iran's Kheibar Shekan, potentially enhancing their strike capabilities against Saudi Arabia and Israel. This suggests a growing ambition for domestic weapons manufacturing beyond foreign supplies.
