The severe cyclonic storm made landfall in Andhra Pradesh early Wednesday, bringing heavy rain and strong winds. Officials reported electrocution, tree collapses, and house collapses as causes of death. Over 180,000 people were evacuated from Andhra Pradesh and Odisha ahead of the cyclone's arrival. While power has been restored in most areas, some regions remain affected, and a cargo vessel is still grounded offshore.
