Man Fights Off Crocodile Attack in Bhitarkanika

A 60-year-old crab catcher named Madan Behera bravely fought off a saltwater crocodile that attacked him in Bhitarkanika National Park. Behera sustained leg injuries after the reptile grabbed him while he was catching crabs in a creek. He managed to escape by attacking the crocodile's eyes, causing it to release its grip. Forest officials stated that catching crabs within the park is illegal and noted that the park is home to over 1,800 saltwater crocodiles.

भितरकनिका नेशनल पार्क में 60 साल के केकड़ा पकड़ने वाले मदन बेहरा ने एक खारे पानी के मगरमच्छ के हमले का बहादुरी से सामना किया। बेहरा को नाले में केकड़ा पकड़ते समय मगरमच्छ ने पैर में पकड़ लिया था, जिससे उन्हें चोटें आईं। उन्होंने मगरमच्छ की आँखों पर हमला करके उसे भगा दिया, जिससे मगरमच्छ ने अपनी पकड़ छोड़ दी। वन अधिकारियों ने बताया कि पार्क के अंदर केकड़ा पकड़ना गैरकानूनी है और पार्क में 1,800 से ज़्यादा खारे पानी के मगरमच्छ रहते हैं।
