RBI Proposes ₹100 Crore Limit on Agri Infrastructure Loans Per Borrower

The Reserve Bank of India has proposed a new aggregate sanctioned limit of ₹100 crore per borrower from the banking system for agricultural infrastructure loans. This proposal is part of a review of existing Priority Sector Lending (PSL) guidelines. The draft directions also include limits for crop loans, education loans, and renewable energy projects. The RBI is seeking feedback on these draft directions by November 26. These changes aim to consolidate and clarify lending instructions for various regulated entities.

भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक ने कृषि इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर लोन के लिए बैंकिंग सिस्टम से प्रति उधारकर्ता ₹100 करोड़ की नई कुल स्वीकृत सीमा का प्रस्ताव दिया है। यह प्रस्ताव मौजूदा प्राथमिकता क्षेत्र ऋण (PSL) दिशानिर्देशों की समीक्षा का हिस्सा है। मसौदा निर्देशों में फसल लोन, शिक्षा लोन और नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा परियोजनाओं के लिए भी सीमाएं शामिल हैं। RBI इन मसौदा निर्देशों पर 26 नवंबर तक प्रतिक्रिया मांग रहा है। इन बदलावों का उद्देश्य विभिन्न विनियमित संस्थाओं के लिए ऋण निर्देशों को समेकित और स्पष्ट करना है।
