Inter-State Thief Arrested in AP, Recovers Gold Worth ₹20 Lakh

Kadiri Town police in Andhra Pradesh's Sri Sathya Sai district have arrested a 38-year-old inter-state thief, B. Bhargava, who is accused of targeting elderly individuals. The arrest led to the resolution of 13 cases and the recovery of 140 grams of gold ornaments valued at approximately ₹20 lakh, along with a two-wheeler. Bhargava's modus operandi involved befriending victims, praising their jewelry, and then fleeing with it, or snatching it directly. He also targeted devotees at temples and used liquid to incapacitate victims. Police are searching for an accomplice.

आंध्र प्रदेश के श्री सत्य साई जिले के कदरी टाउन पुलिस ने 38 वर्षीय अंतर-राज्यीय चोर बी. भार्गव को गिरफ्तार किया है, जिस पर बुजुर्गों को निशाना बनाने का आरोप है। इस गिरफ्तारी से 13 मामलों का खुलासा हुआ और लगभग 20 लाख रुपये के 140 ग्राम सोने के गहने और एक दोपहिया वाहन बरामद हुआ। भार्गव का तरीका था कि वह पीड़ितों से दोस्ती करता, उनके गहनों की तारीफ करता और फिर उन्हें लेकर भाग जाता, या सीधे छीन लेता था। उसने मंदिरों में भक्तों को भी निशाना बनाया और पीड़ितों को बेहोश करने के लिए तरल पदार्थ का इस्तेमाल किया। पुलिस एक साथी की तलाश कर रही है।
