Goldsmith Flees With Gold, Apprehended In Bengal

A goldsmith employed by a Bengaluru jewellery firm has been apprehended in West Bengal after fleeing with gold worth approximately Rs 1 crore. The accused, Islam Mallick, was entrusted with over 700 grams of gold to make bangles. He disappeared the following day, but police tracked him to Kalna town in Bardhaman. Authorities recovered 441 grams of jewellery from his wife's maternal home and an additional 238-gram gold ingot from his residence in Bengaluru.

बेंगलुरु की एक ज्वैलरी फर्म में काम करने वाला एक सोनार, करीब 1 करोड़ रुपये का सोना लेकर भागने के बाद पश्चिम बंगाल में पकड़ा गया है। आरोपी, इस्लाम मलिक, को चूड़ियाँ बनाने के लिए 700 ग्राम से ज़्यादा सोना सौंपा गया था। वह अगले दिन गायब हो गया, लेकिन पुलिस ने उसे बर्धमान के काल्ना शहर में ट्रैक कर लिया। अधिकारियों ने उसकी पत्नी के मायके से 441 ग्राम गहने और बेंगलुरु में उसके घर से 238 ग्राम सोने की सिल्लियां बरामद कीं।
