Bengaluru Families Split Across Polling Booths After Electoral Revision Exercise

Times of India · politics

SIR of electoral rolls, aimed at rationalising polling stations, has inadvertently split several families across different booths. The process, which sought to ensure booths are within 2km or have a maximum of 1,200 voters, led to confusion as some family members were assigned to different polling stations. Voters are struggling to locate their names due to changes in part and serial numbers, with some reporting errors in age and address details.
