Times of India · sports

Abhishek Sharma has set a new record for the most sixes in a calendar year by a batter representing a full-member nation in T20 internationals. He hit his 69th six against the West Indies in Hyderabad, surpassing Suryakumar Yadav's previous record of 68 set in 2022. Despite a mixed start to the year with some low scores, Sharma has shown significant power-hitting ability. This achievement comes after Shai Hope's unbeaten century propelled the West Indies to a strong total of 247/3.
