Apple is reportedly exploring the use of Nvidia's NVLink Fusion networking technology for its planned AI inference server. This move could signify Apple's potential return to the server market after discontinuing its Xserve line in 2011. The proposed server, powered by Apple's M8 Ultra chips, is aimed at AI developers, businesses, and governments. The server is not expected before 2029 and its development could still be altered or canceled.
