Mizoram's new State Museum in Aizawl was inaugurated by Art and Culture Minister C Lalsawivunga, who highlighted its role in preserving community life, traditions, and history. Funded by the Union Ministry of Culture and the Smart City project, the museum serves as a bridge between past and present, protecting cultural identity. It functions as a multipurpose institution with nine galleries and an archaeology section, offering educational value to students and younger generations. The minister encouraged Mizo people to visit more frequently and continue donating culturally significant items.
