Azam Khan Arrested by ED Minutes After Jail Release, Cites Religious Persecution

Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan was taken into custody by the ED just minutes after his release from Rampur district jail. He had been granted bail by the Allahabad High Court in a dual PAN card case, ending an 11-month imprisonment. Khan expressed his anguish, stating he was being punished for being Muslim and for building a university. He questioned if establishing schools was a crime. The SP criticized the government, alleging misuse of agencies and false cases against Khan.

समाजवादी पार्टी के नेता आजम खान को रामपुर जिला जेल से छूटने के कुछ ही मिनटों बाद ED ने हिरासत में ले लिया। उन्हें इलाहाबाद हाईकोर्ट ने दोहरे पैन कार्ड मामले में जमानत दी थी, जिससे उनकी 11 महीने की कैद खत्म हुई थी। खान ने अपना दर्द बयां करते हुए कहा कि उन्हें मुसलमान होने और एक यूनिवर्सिटी बनाने की सज़ा दी जा रही है। उन्होंने सवाल किया कि क्या स्कूल बनाना कोई जुर्म है। सपा ने सरकार की आलोचना करते हुए कहा कि एजेंसियों का दुरुपयोग किया जा रहा है और खान के खिलाफ झूठे मामले बनाए जा रहे हैं।
