Coimbatore Foundries See Revival Amidst Higher Demand

Small foundries in Coimbatore are experiencing a revival in orders after a period of low demand over the past six months. This resurgence is partly due to larger foundries being unable to meet all orders because of a labour shortage, causing demand to spill over to smaller operations. The textile and basic engineering sectors, along with sustained demand for pumpsets due to poor monsoon rains, are contributing to the increased orders. If this trend continues, small foundries are expected to resume investments.

कोयंबटूर की छोटी फाउंड्री में पिछले छह महीनों से कम मांग के दौर के बाद ऑर्डरों में फिर से तेजी देखी जा रही है। यह उछाल कुछ हद तक इसलिए भी है क्योंकि बड़ी फाउंड्री में मजदूरों की कमी के कारण सभी ऑर्डरों को पूरा नहीं कर पा रही हैं, जिससे मांग छोटी फाउंड्री की ओर जा रही है। टेक्सटाइल और बेसिक इंजीनियरिंग सेक्टरों के साथ-साथ खराब मानसून की बारिश के कारण पंपसेट की लगातार मांग भी ऑर्डरों में वृद्धि में योगदान दे रही है। अगर यह रुझान जारी रहा, तो छोटी फाउंड्री से फिर से निवेश शुरू करने की उम्मीद है।
