Indian Navy Warships Test French Naval Might in 'Varuna' Exercise

The Indian Navy showcased its prowess in French waters during the 24th edition of the 'Varuna' exercise with the French Navy. The Indian warship INS Trishul participated in high-level combat actions, including anti-submarine warfare and live firing, alongside French vessels like FDA Forbin and Lafayette. Indian crew members also visited the French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle to understand its aviation systems. The exercise underscored the strengthening defence relations between India and France, extending beyond naval capabilities to foster mutual understanding and cooperation.
