The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has initiated action against seven e-commerce platforms, including IndiaMART and Justdial, for listing hazardous explosives like ammonium nitrate and gunpowder. This action led to the delisting of 3,940 sellers and listings. Penalties totalling ₹30 Lakh were imposed on Dial4Trade and ExportersIndia. IndiaMART had the highest number of affected sellers, with 3,092. Investigations are ongoing for TradeIndia, Sigma-Aldrich Chemicals, and Ibuychemikals, while Dial4Trade and ExportersIndia have appealed their penalties.
