Scholar Thanks Stalin After Row Over Delayed Overseas Scholarship Funds

Bharathidasan Raman, a research scholar studying in Malaysia, met with DMK president M K Stalin in Chennai to express his gratitude for the Annal Ambedkar Overseas Higher Education Scholarship. Raman was among students selected by the previous DMK government for the program. The meeting followed a political controversy where the social justice department delayed releasing Rs 36 lakh for Raman's second academic year, citing documentation issues. The government eventually released the funds, and Raman is scheduled to meet other DMK leaders to thank them.
