This action follows a directive from the Punjab and Haryana High Court, which ordered a probe into allegations of corruption, including policy manipulation and cash for tenders. The CBI conducted searches at multiple locations, including the CM's camp office in Chandigarh. Chief Minister Mann alleged the CBI and ED will be misused by the BJP ahead of the 2027 Assembly polls.

सीबीआई ने पंजाब के मुख्यमंत्री भगवंत मान के एक ऑफिसर ऑन स्पेशल ड्यूटी (OSD) और राज्य के अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों से जुड़े भ्रष्टाचार के मामले में केस दर्ज किया है। यह कार्रवाई पंजाब और हरियाणा हाई कोर्ट के निर्देश पर हुई है, जिसने नीति में हेरफेर और टेंडरों के लिए नकद सहित भ्रष्टाचार के आरोपों की जांच का आदेश दिया था। सीबीआई ने चंडीगढ़ में सीएम के कैंप ऑफिस सहित कई जगहों पर तलाशी ली। मुख्यमंत्री मान ने आरोप लगाया कि बीजेपी 2027 के विधानसभा चुनावों से पहले सीबीआई और ईडी का दुरुपयोग करेगी।
