Pune Municipal Corporation Plans Financial Aid For Accident Victims

PMC is considering a new policy to offer immediate financial and medical assistance to families affected by accidents within the city limits. This initiative aims to alleviate the significant financial burden of medical expenses and loss of income for families of those killed or seriously injured. The proposed policy could provide up to Rs 10 lakh for deceased victims' legal heirs and substantial amounts for the injured. The PMC's legal department will draft the framework, with final decisions pending administrative review and budgetary allocation.
