Connecticut Power Plant Site To Become $410M Waterfront Park
Times of India - India · india
A former 125-acre coal and oil power plant in Norwalk, Connecticut, is set to be transformed into a public waterfront destination called Manresa Wilds. A $410 million investment from Austin and Allison McChord is funding the project, which will include open space, recreation, and cultural events. The Norwalk Planning and Zoning Commission has unanimously approved a special zoning district for the development. The project aims to repurpose the industrial site, with the first phase of walking trails and open fields expected to open next year.
