Gadkari Denies Conflict of Interest in Ethanol

केंद्रीय मंत्री नितिन गडकरी ने इथेनॉल मिश्रण कार्यक्रम से व्यक्तिगत लाभ के आरोपों को खारिज कर दिया है। उन्होंने कहा कि ये आरोप राजनीति से प्रेरित हैं। गडकरी ने साफ किया कि उनके बेटों के व्यवसाय की इथेनॉल क्षेत्र में बहुत छोटी हिस्सेदारी है। उन्होंने पर्यावरण संरक्षण और आयात पर निर्भरता कम करने के लिए वैकल्पिक ईंधन को बढ़ावा देने की अपनी पुरानी प्रतिबद्धता दोहराई। इस कार्यक्रम को पहले भी कई सरकारों का समर्थन मिला है।
