AI company Anthropic announced it will add official US voting information from nonprofit Democracy Works to its Claude AI chatbot this month. This integration aims to position Claude as a helpful tool for political discussions ahead of the November midterm elections. The company stated that approximately 5.75% of conversations on its consumer app, Claude.ai, in the United States currently involve politics, public policy, or social issues. Anthropic seeks to provide reliable information while preventing election-related misuse of the AI.
