Tata Steel, the Dutch government, and the Province of North Holland have extended their Joint Letter of Intent for the Green Steel Project until March 1, 2027. This five-month extension allows more time to discuss decarbonising the company's Netherlands operations and address outstanding matters. Parties are also exploring options for closing coke and gas plants, while navigating complex regulations and financial viability concerns.
