Intel India President Gokul V Subramaniam stated that the value of AI PCs is defined by applications, not solely by raw processing speed. He emphasized that future PC chip development will focus on heterogeneous compute, integrating CPUs, GPUs, and NPUs for specific workloads. Advanced packaging techniques using chiplets are also crucial due to the rising cost of shrinking transistors. Intel's 18A process node, featuring RibbonFET and PowerVia technologies, is considered critical for its comeback and future innovations across various computing platforms.
