Over 25,000 police and paramilitary personnel were deployed, 245 trains were cancelled, and 45 metro stations were shut down. Internet services were also suspended in the protest area. CJP and allied groups called for the protest demanding the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner over alleged irregularities in voter list deletions.
