Kerala University Vice-Chancellor Mohanan Kunnummal has stated there is no intention to ban student politics on campuses. He clarified that discussions are underway regarding a draft code of conduct for student activities, following directions from the High Court. The university is examining regulations similar to those proposed by Mahatma Gandhi University. Kunnummal stressed that the primary goal is to prevent violence and ensure academic activities remain uninterrupted, allowing students to express opinions and engage in debates. Decisions will be made after deliberation by the university's statutory bodies.
