Taekwondo Player Moves SC Over Asian Games Selection

Chandigarh taekwondo player Etisha Das has approached the Supreme Court seeking an urgent hearing regarding her selection for the Asian Games. Das, who won bronze at the Asian Taekwondo Championship in Mongolia, claims to have earned India a quota place. She is challenging a Punjab and Haryana High Court order that declined to advance her contempt petition hearing, fearing legal proceedings will conclude after the Indian contingent departs for Japan.
