The Dharwad bench of the Karnataka High Court has imposed a Rs 10,000 fine on a petitioner for providing incorrect information in a habeas corpus plea. The plea was filed concerning a missing youth from Belagavi district, Akash Raymane. During the hearing, Akash himself appeared before the court, stating he had voluntarily gone to Dharwad for personal reasons and was not unlawfully detained. Justice M Nagaprasanna observed that the petition was unwarranted and contained misleading information, leading to the penalty.

कर्नाटक हाई कोर्ट की धारवाड़ बेंच ने एक याचिकाकर्ता पर गलत जानकारी देने के लिए 10,000 रुपये का जुर्माना लगाया है। यह याचिका बेलगावी जिले के एक लापता युवक, आकाश रायमाने के संबंध में दायर की गई थी। सुनवाई के दौरान, आकाश खुद अदालत में पेश हुआ और कहा कि वह निजी कारणों से स्वेच्छा से धारवाड़ गया था और उसे अवैध रूप से हिरासत में नहीं रखा गया था। जस्टिस एम नागप्रसन्ना ने देखा कि याचिका अनुचित थी और इसमें भ्रामक जानकारी थी, जिसके कारण यह जुर्माना लगाया गया।
