Netradyne Pitches Mandatory Driver Monitoring Systems

AI firm Netradyne is proposing to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways that driver-monitoring systems be made mandatory for commercial vehicles in India. The technology uses AI to detect drowsiness, distraction, and mobile use, issuing real-time alerts. Netradyne argues this could significantly reduce road accidents by coaching drivers. They are also testing factory-level integration with manufacturers and have proposed interventions for existing vehicles, not just new ones.
