Karnataka Tourism Launches U.K. Roadshows To Boost NRI Tourist Footfall
The Hindu · india
Karnataka's Tourism Department is participating in the World Travel Market (WTM) London 2026 roadshow, including new sessions in Manchester and Birmingham, to revive declining NRI tourist numbers. Post-COVID, tourist footfall has dropped by over 50%, with NRIs increasingly choosing destinations like Maldives and Bali. The department aims to attract NRIs and other foreign tourists from the UK, US, and Australia by showcasing Karnataka's attractions through displays and presentations. Officials hope this initiative will significantly increase NRI tourism by the next season.
