Manipur Violence: 15 Kuki Houses Torched, 1 Killed in Kamjong Attack

At least 15 houses belonging to the Kuki community were torched in a hill village in Manipur's Kamjong district by suspected militants late Saturday night. A Kuki civilian was killed and four others sustained bullet injuries in an earlier attack on Sunday. Police have deployed joint forces to control the situation. Deputy chief minister Nemcha Kipgen condemned the violence, calling the burning of houses an intolerable crime and directing authorities to ensure justice. In a separate incident, three Tangkhul Naga civilians were injured by rival armed groups.
