Congress Slams BJP Over Ram Temple Donation Theft Case

Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has strongly criticized the BJP regarding the Ram temple donation theft case, demanding accountability and a full public accounting of offerings. He highlighted the "silence" of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on the matter. Ramesh asserted that citizens have a responsibility to punish those involved in the alleged theft, stating that the BJP's rise to power invoking Lord Ram's name will lead to its downfall due to this sin. The theft reportedly came to light on June 4, 2026.

कांग्रेस नेता जयराम रमेश ने राम मंदिर दान चोरी मामले को लेकर बीजेपी की कड़ी आलोचना की है और जवाबदेही तथा चढ़ावों का पूरा सार्वजनिक हिसाब मांगा है। उन्होंने इस मामले पर प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी और उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ की "चुप्पी" पर प्रकाश डाला। रमेश ने जोर देकर कहा कि नागरिकों की जिम्मेदारी है कि वे कथित चोरी में शामिल लोगों को दंडित करें, और कहा कि भगवान राम के नाम का आह्वान करके सत्ता में आई बीजेपी इस पाप के कारण अपने पतन की ओर बढ़ेगी। कथित चोरी 4 जून, 2026 को सामने आई थी।
