Times of India · india

Around 500 shops in Jaipur's Walled City closed for several hours on Saturday to protest a new one-way traffic system. Traders claim the changes have significantly reduced customer footfall and negatively impacted business, especially ahead of the Diwali season. They are demanding a comprehensive traffic management plan before further alterations are implemented. Shopkeepers from four trade associations participated, with tourist guides also offering support. They plan to submit a memorandum to the deputy commissioner of police (traffic) and warn of intensified agitation if their concerns are not addressed.
