BofA Securities Predicts RBI to Hike Repo Rate by 100 Bps by H1 2027

Bank of America Securities forecasts the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will implement a total of 100 basis points in repo rate hikes by the first half of 2027. They now anticipate the first rate increase in October, earlier than previously expected. BofA projects a 25 basis point hike in October, followed by an additional 75 basis points in the fourth quarter of 2026 and the first half of 2027.
