Allahabad HC Questions Omission of 138 Amethi Voters from Final List

These individuals were present in the draft list and had been registered for years, but their names were omitted without prior notice. The court questioned how names could be dropped at the final publication stage without informing the affected residents. The villagers also alleged discrepancies, with living people missing and deceased individuals still listed.

इलाहाबाद हाई कोर्ट की लखनऊ बेंच ने उत्तर प्रदेश राज्य चुनाव आयोग के अधिकारियों से अमेठी की अंतिम मतदाता सूची से 138 मतदाताओं को हटाने के बारे में स्पष्टीकरण मांगा है। ये लोग ड्राफ्ट सूची में थे और सालों से पंजीकृत थे, लेकिन बिना किसी पूर्व सूचना के उनके नाम हटा दिए गए। कोर्ट ने पूछा कि अंतिम प्रकाशन के चरण में प्रभावित निवासियों को सूचित किए बिना नाम कैसे हटाए जा सकते हैं। ग्रामीणों ने जीवित लोगों के नाम गायब होने और मृत लोगों के नाम अभी भी सूची में होने जैसी विसंगतियों का भी आरोप लगाया।
